About us

SABA is the only Slovenian organization that is exclusively a trade and business association in the USA. Its leadership is headed by a Board of Directors and an Advisory Team.

The Slovenian-American Business Association (SABA) is an expanding business trade development organization based in Cleveland, Ohio. It is focused on building relationships, increasing sales, and promoting member businesses in the global markets with a particular emphasis on Slovenian and American bilateral trade. Using a variety of activities that will include hosting targeted business events, facilitating business introductions, and providing educational opportunities, the objective is to strengthen global business growth for SABA members.

SABA is the succeeding organization to the Cleveland Slovenian Business and Professionals Association (CSBPA) which began in 2007. The CSBPA succeeded in providing excellent social and networking opportunities for Cleveland-area individual professionals.  SABA advanced this idea to a bilateral level through the use of a unique set of tools and continuous support of its members across multiple states in the US. With anticipated support from the Republic of Slovenia (SPIRIT SLOVENIA, Business development agency and other economic institutions) SABA is working to establish itself as the recognized global business association leading in facilitating bilateral trade between America and Slovenia

SABA is working with Slovenian diplomatic representatives in the USA as well as, American diplomats in Slovenia, relevant Ministries of Slovenia and USA, various US federal, state, county and city authorities and with different organizations in the EU.

With all of these organizations along with SABA members we are trying to establish and deliver a variety of business programs, presentations with business information, contacts and support tools to achieve the SABA mission of increasing bilateral trade.

The SABA leadership will support SABA’s Vision and Mission through the recruitment of additional SABA members and assist in the content development and program delivery of information aligned with its Vison and Mission.

A few years ago, the United States primarily competed within its own borders. Today, we compete with and against the world. It is truly a very fluid business climate. Without strategic partners around the world, it is very difficult to compete.
